Field of ScreamsThose in need of a scare can journey to Lancaster for the 14th annual Field of Screams. Open Friday, Saturday and Sunday until October 31 there is something for everyone, including a haunted hayride, den of darkness, frightmare asylum and even a little screamers' Hayride just for kids. Tickets can be purchased for each event separately or at a package rate. Brothers Gene and Jim Schopf own and operate Field of Screams on their own 33 acre plot of land and have constructed every building and set for their scary vision. Ironically, neither brother claims to have been a huge Halloween fiend prior to starting in 1993. However, they have more than made up for it by being so deeply involved in the agritainment business. Jim explained their work ethic by saying, "work your butt off with passion and you?ll be successful," useful advice for any business owner. With volunteer actors, EMT, and security personnel you are sure to have a safe and frightful time. For more information on Field of Screams visit FieldofScreams.com. |
